There is no sea in Beirut (2015)
In the framework of the three-day symposium organized by the French Institute, the Orient Institute and the Beirut Municipality on public spaces, Temporary Art Platform commissioned Rani Al-Rajji for a performative city walk that took place on May 23, 2015 (made possible with the support of the French Institute).
There is no sea in Beirut tells stories of a city, a harbour, a shoreline and a public space in search for an identity in constant escape.
Rani Al Rajji is an architect and an urban storyteller. He is the co-founder of Studio Beirut, an initiative that collects experiences around public spaces and organizes city walks and tours bases on true or fictitious accounts.
