Thin White Line, 2017

Site-specific intervention
Lime (calcium oxide)
Location: the Dalieh of Raouche

Thin White Line is a 400-meter line drawn in lime, dividing the Dalieh of Raouche into two parts. The land north of the line is protected from construction and the land to the south is land that can be built upon. Lime is derived from limestone, which forms the rocky landscape of Dalieh, and it is often used in the construction industry to produce mortar and plaster, among others. The line will be at the mercy of the natural elements, and will eventually disappear.
