APRIL 30 / WALID SADEK
Walid Sadek intervenes with an image of the thickness of the newspaper's cross-section. The sentence reads 'I recall my father reading daily newspapers every morning’. The work addresses a past generation that grew up reading daily newspapers and for whom that printed medium was a necessary component of the public sphere.
MAY 28 / DANIELE GENADRY
Daniele Genadry intervenes by placing two almost identical images side by side which allow what is - originally - a single transformation of reality to image, to be split into two simultaneous moments. It invites the viewer to witness a slow disappearing act.
JUNE 25 / AHMAD GHOSSEIN
Ahmad Ghossein repeats the popular slogan of Assafir newspaper "Voice to the voiceless among them". Placed on the last page of the paper and apparently under a simple gray scale, the viewer is invited to move the paper back and forth from his eyes. The sentence should reveal.
